Pain Relief
Slow, sustained work into the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue, for the tension that lighter work can't reach.
Deep tissue isn't about pressing as hard as possible. It's about going slowly enough that the tissue lets me in. I work layer by layer, following the muscle rather than forcing it, and I stay in one place as long as it takes for the knot to soften. Pressure is always yours to set, and you can change your mind at any point in the session.
We'll talk first about where the tension is and how it behaves. I'll warm the area before going deeper, and I'll check in on pressure as we go. Some soreness for a day or two afterward is normal, similar to a good workout. Water, warmth, and gentle movement help it clear.
Myofascial release techniques, which work the connective tissue wrapping the muscle so the whole area can move again. Trigger point therapy when there's a specific referral pattern to chase, and therapeutic cupping when the fascia needs lifting rather than pressing. Green jade hot stones add warmth that lets the tissue release faster.
Available in 60, 90, and 120 minute sessions. If you're coming in for pain, 90 minutes gives us room to both find the cause and treat it.
