Pain Relief
Targeted work on the specific points that refer pain elsewhere in the body. Often the reason your neck hurts is a spot in your shoulder.
A trigger point is a small, tight band inside a muscle that sends pain somewhere else. That's why so many people rub the place that hurts for months with nothing to show for it. My job is to find the actual source, hold precise pressure there until it releases, and then help the surrounding tissue reorganize around the change. This is the cornerstone of my pain work.
Assessment matters here, so we'll spend real time at the start talking through where the pain shows up, what makes it worse, and what you've already tried. Pressure on an active trigger point can reproduce the pain you came in with for a few seconds before it eases. That's the point we're looking for, and I'll always tell you before I go there.
Deep tissue, myofascial release, and sports massage elements to work the larger muscle groups around the point, and Freedom Bodywork to calm the nervous system so the release holds.
Available in 60, 90, and 120 minute sessions. Chronic or multi-area pain does best at 90 or 120.
